Brian Young's "Healer of the Water Monster" presentation

Nebo Indian Education program will be hosting Brian Young to talk about his book "Healer of the Water Monster" on April 26 at 4pm in Springville, Cherry Creek Elementary.

American Indian Youth Literature Award Winner: Best Middle Grade Book! Brian Young’s powerful debut novel tells of a seemingly ordinary Navajo boy who must save the life of a Water Monster—and comes to realize he’s a hero at heart.

Our Own Mr. Ryan Named Nebo Teacher of the Year!

Mr. Ryan is our resident, jack-of-all trades. His students are captivated by his innovative methods and ability to connect the curriculum to their lives using technology, a classroom trial for Anne Frank’s captors, survival non-fiction research, etc. Mr. Ryan is a leader, a long-time stalwart on our leadership team and English Department Head. He is a builder of positive culture, character, and integrity.

Terry Oyler is our monthly ALL IN AWARD Winner. Terry is loved by all and has a special gift for making all of his student feel loved and comfortable in his classroom. We are lucky to have him as a teacher at DFMS!
