Mr. Bigler is ALL IN for students

Submitted by bart.thompson on

At last week’s Faculty Meeting, Mrs. Lewis passed on our “ALL IN” award to our Boogey-Woogey Bugler, Mr. Bigler!  Mrs. Lewis spoke of his relentless commitment to making beautiful music with his students— from early in the morning until the end of the day!

We are lucky to have Mr. Bigler at DFJHS, and are grateful for all he does!

Science Classes Caught Staring at the Sun

Submitted by bart.thompson on

Our science classes were given the opportunity to watch as Mercury passed in front of the Sun today!  Using Mr. Wood's 8 inch Celestron telescope, students were able to safely look at the sun during this unique "transit" that only happens every few years.  The next Mercury Transit will not occur until 2032!

Diamond Fork Junior High School is grateful to all our Veterans--both past and present--who have served this great nation that is ours!  Veterans Day is a wonderful opportunity to pause, remember and thank those who have made and kept us free!

Today, for Veterans Day, we had the privilege of having Mrs. Peters' husband (US Army) and brother-in-law (US Marine Corps) come speak to our social studies students about their service, and the symbol of our nation--our US Flag.  Thank you to the both of them for their service to our country and our school.
