National Junior Honor Society Visits Veteran's
The Diamond Fork National Junior Honor Society was able to visit the veterans home in Payson in December. They were able to personally speak with the veterans and get to know them. The NJHS took the veterans Christmas shopping for their loved ones.
National Junior Honor Society Service Project
Recently our National Junior Honor Society members participated in a service project. Students spent time at school tying blankets for the Hunstman Cancer Center and then had the opportunity of delivering those blankets to cancer patients. These blankets help keep patients warm as they have treatment. We thank all teachers and students involved.

9th Graders in Mrs. Gardner and Ms. Reese's World Civ classes were treated with an awesome guest speaker on Wednesday. Mustapha El Akkari, Muslim, businessman, and former basketball star spoke with students about what it means to be a Muslim and informed students on the religion of Islam. Akkari came to the U.S alone as a 16 year old to play basketball. He played high school basketball in Houston and college basketball at BYU-Hawaii. Akkari became the first non-LDS Student Body President of BYU-Hawaii as a Senior at the University.
