DFMS State Finalists Utah Do the Write Thing Writing Contest!

Baylee Fausett and Hunter Smith were honored at the University of Utah at a special luncheon as state finalists in the Utah Do the Write Thing Writing Contest. Each of them received $300 in scholarship money, a gift bag, and Amazon gift card, and a plague with a certificate signed by Governor Cox.  Their teachers, Mr. Tippetts and Ms. Gunn were also honored.

Nebo Indian Education program will be hosting Brian Young to talk about his book "Healer of the Water Monster" on April 26 at 4pm in Springville, Cherry Creek Elementary.

American Indian Youth Literature Award Winner: Best Middle Grade Book! Brian Young’s powerful debut novel tells of a seemingly ordinary Navajo boy who must save the life of a Water Monster—and comes to realize he’s a hero at heart.

Our Own Mr. Ryan Named Nebo Teacher of the Year!

Mr. Ryan is our resident, jack-of-all trades. His students are captivated by his innovative methods and ability to connect the curriculum to their lives using technology, a classroom trial for Anne Frank’s captors, survival non-fiction research, etc. Mr. Ryan is a leader, a long-time stalwart on our leadership team and English Department Head. He is a builder of positive culture, character, and integrity.
