This has been a record-breaking year for our Make-A-Wish event.  We started with a goal to raise $2000 for Cohen, our Wish Kid.  We met that in one day.  We then set goals of $3000 and $5000 that we blew past.  Thanks to the donations and contributions from the Spanish Fork Fire Department, the Spanish Fork Police Department, and this amazing community and student body, this year we were able to raise $8,394.39!  Way to be ALL IN Diamondbacks! 

Teachers are prepared to perform their challenges, the DFMS School of Rock Band will perform, and best of all, we all get to meet our wish child, Cohen! Thanks to everyone for our amazing Wish Weeks! 

In honor of our wish child, who loves Star Wars, DFMS had a Star Wars Day today. At lunch, Mr. and Mrs. Antares held a Jedi light saber battle, but do not worry, Mrs. Antares was victorious!

After only a about seven months of orchestra instruction, our string instrument players are playing complicated musical numbers with ease! Both the advanced orchestra and orchestra one students have made amazing progress under the care of Ms. Drager and it showed tonight as the students delighted the crowd with a variety of musical selections. 

Congratulations to Mrs Wanlass, our Crystal Apple award winner! She is an integral peice of this amazing faculty. She can often be found at her desk late into the night preparing individual lesson plans for each of her students, or leading our advanced math team as they prepare for competition. Thank you for all do at DFMS!
