Students presenting to the school board

Our Leadership Class organized a presentation for Nebo School Board on all the ways that students and teachers take care of each other at Diamond Fork Middle School, emphasizing giving students voice, choice, bonding, serving, and social emotional skills. By taking care of of overall well being, Diamond Fork increases learning. Students shared the way we begin our days with a Mindfulness Minute and end our days with gratitude and a Happiness Hunt. They told the board about the Snake Pit where students have an opportunity to bring their ideas to the table for ways we can improve the school. Character Ed, Team Serve, Make -A-Wish, the food drive were highlighted as ways our school provides service opportunities. Students shared the way we bond through our school mission ALL IN for Learning, the theme for the year, Pods, and Team Time Advisory Period as well as through the many ways for students to get involved such as after school activities (Clay Art, Pokeman, Chime Chime Choir, Karaoke,  orchestra, D & D, Stand 4 Kind, HOPE Squad, Culture Club, Jazz band, Nintendo Switch, National Junior Honor Society, field trips and more), drama, choir, band, Journalism and the Diamond Fork News.
