Art teachers Jean Marie Anderson and Leah Carter received an art grant from the Nebo Foundation for a potter wheel and clay. Students will be able to have the benefit of the therapeutic qualities of creating with clay. Pottery involves a lot of mistakes and mishaps. Students quickly learn how easy it is to re-roll the clay and begin anew. The light in the eyes of the students when they see the glossy, glazed pieces that they have created is the magic that happens in art.
