Dear Diamond Fork Parents,
I liken fourth term at our school to a whirlwind of sorts. The temperatures begin to climb, blooms begin to pop, we spend time outdoors and students bring an enthusiasm with them when they enter each day. We have introduced our incoming 6th grade students and parents to the school and what we have to offer them. Also, we have introduced our 9th grade students to the high schools they will be attending next year. We feel warmth in the air as we begin spring sports at both the junior high and high school levels.
So many of our students participate in some sort of extracurricular activity whether it is school, community, or family sponsored. The range of youth activities are a tribute to DFJHS parents as you give your time and energy to support your children. As teachers and staff, we like to share in your children’s activities and help you as you help them to build a sense of community. We continually focus on our vision to empower students to think critically, live responsibly, and lead ethically. It is evident as we practice this vision that families make a significant impact. Each school day our faculty and staff witness small acts of kindness, extra effort to succeed, and smiles; all very powerful messages. We naturally want the best for ourselves and others. We show that through our words AND our deeds. Thank you students and parents for letting DFJHS be a part of your lives.

PTA March Madness Fundraiser: Thanks so much for your support of our March Madness
fundraiser! The top three classes who earned a pizza party were:
1. Mr. Buck's 5th period class
2. Mrs. Davis' 1st period class
3. Miss Banks’ 4th period class
We are grateful to the teachers and students who participated and brought back their envelopes on time! The PTA enjoys working with such great students and faculty at our school! Thanks so much!!

MMHS 3rd Annual “Fix It Saturday” on May 2, 2015: In an effort to help one of our sister high schools, we are announcing a great opportunity for all of our stakeholders! Maple Mountain High School SkillsUSA Club needs your help to send its Welding Fabrication Team and it's CPR/first aid contestant back to Louisville, KY for the National Competition. On March 27th, we took first place at the state level and were invited back to compete among the top competitors in the country. Our students need help with the cost of attending this competition.
We would like to invite you to sign up and bring in anything you need to have repaired or re-welded. If you provide the material to fix your project, we will weld it back together for you. In return, we ask that you please donate money when your project is completed to help these boys make it back to Louisville. The 3rd annual MMHS Welding Fix It Saturday will be held May 2nd from 8am to 4pm. We ask that you please be generous in your donations, but the amount donated will be up to you. Please spread the word to friends and family,
