The Boys' and Girls' Basketball teams opened their seasons on Tuesday at home against Canyon View Jr High (Orem). Both teams came up with victories, but in two VERY different ways!
The Lady Diamondbacks led from the start, outscoring their opponents 67-9. It was an absolute team effort as every member of the team was able to contribute to the team win! Way to go Ladies!
The Boys' team had a bit closer margin of victory. They started off slow, shaking some first game nerves and rust. They were down 16-8 at the half. However, in the second half they came screaming back through tough defense, aggressive rebounding and a strong press. They took the lead for the first time with 4 minutes to play, and never relinquished control from there. They won 38-35. Nice work, Diamondbacks!
Both teams play again on Thursday against Lakeridge Jr High (Orem). Both games are home again. Come out and support!
