Mandy Young, a teacher at Diamond Fork Jr. High School in Spanish Fork, has been selected as the Daily Herald Educator of the Week.

Miss Young currently teaches seventh grade science, though she has taught ninth grade biology and earth systems in the past.

Miss Young is one of the advisers for the National Junior Honor Society and is the PTA teacher representative for her school.

“Welcome to the BEST class ever!” That’s what you will hear if you are lucky enough to be in Miss Young’s science class.

Miss Young really is amazing. She always has the best interests of her students in mind. Mandy comes early and stays late to Diamond Fork Jr. High. Miss Young always goes the extra mile. She is continually improving on her lesson plans and does her best to make each student in her classroom feel great about themselves. Not only can you find her happy smile and quick wit in her classroom, but she is always ready to lend a hand in the office, at school activities, and in the hallways. She is a blast to work with and Diamond Fork Jr. High is lucky to have her as a science superhero!
