DIAMONDBACK GEMS
Parent Conferences: We will have our regular format for Parent Conferences this term. Please note that February 18th will be the date for those conferences. Teachers will be available in the gym that evening until 8:00 to meet with at your convenience.

PTA: We would like to give our awesome PTA a HUGE shout-out for a fun filled teacher appreciation week. They helped us channel our inner pirates and enjoy our week! THANKS PTA MEMBERS!
The DFJHS PTA is hosting a dinner for the teachers and staff members on Thursday, February 18th, for Parent Conferences. We will be providing the pizza and dessert and are looking for volunteers to help provide the green salads, pasta salads and drinks. Classroom Emergency Kits: Requesting from all parents: ONE BANDANA/KERCHIEF for each child you have attending DFJHS. We will be accepting these at Parent/Teacher conferences on Thursday or you may
send it with your child and have it delivered to the front office. One can be purchased for $1 at
WalMart or we will accept cash donations which will be used to buy them. These bandanas are part of the classroom Emergency Preparedness bins our National Jr. Honor Society has been putting together. The bandanas can serve multiple purposes in an emergency so we are hoping to have one for each student in a classroom in the kits. They are complete except for this final item. We hope you will help us reach this monumental goal!!! A very BIG THANK YOU to all parents for your support of our project. We have well-stocked kits that couldn’t have happened without your support.
Counseling Department News: 8th Grade Parents and Students: We only have 7 more days until 9th grade registration! If you have not signed up for your counselor meeting - please do so!
We will have evening times available on PTC night from 3 - 8 pm. Please call the counseling office to schedule.

School Community Council: Board Community Council for any SCC members will be February 23rd. It will be held at SFHS @ 4:00pm. Our next DFJHS SCC meeting will be held March 9, 2016 at 3:00 in the counseling office conference room. Anyone is welcome to attend and your input is invited and welcome.
