My name is Melissa Hessing. I am born and raised in Utah, and graduated from Brigham Young University. I love history, but I'm not very good at math, unless I'm doubling fractions in a recipe for Texas Sheet Cake. Being outdoors is my happy place, skiing in winter, boating in summer, and whatever else can get me outside is what I always want to be doing. love traveling, especially camping, and going on any new adventure possible, especially if I get to drag my husband and daughter around. I enjoy teaching for the same reason, I get to explore different places, people and time with students and we get to learn together and from each other about new ideas. I'm excited to explore US History this year with my students.
