Celebration! Our Respect Pod was the spirit week dress up champions. The pod broke out into R-E-S-P-E-C-T cheers and were rewarded with ice cream sandwiches!
Students in Mrs. Mortensen's class have turned their daily Happiness Hunt into a beautiful wall of gratitude.
Utah Studies students got to hear from one of our parents, Cameron Little Wolf Gilmore, who is Navajo. He shared elements of Navajo culture including the concept of wellness know as Hozho, balance of body, mind, and spirt.
Students in Utah Studies got to view culture cases from BYU. Artifacts are from various Great Basin cultures, many ancient, all “real.” Artifacts included early stone hand tools, arrowheads, drums, flute, cradleboard, baskets, and even a reed duck decoy. Students saw all the artifacts and experienced Native music in the “museum” day.
