BYU Concert Band Festival

On Saturday, March 16th the Diamond Fork Junior High Concert band, under the direction of Dan Bigler, attended the annual BYU Concert Band Festival.  At this festival, the band played three songs in front of a panel of judges.  The band practices all year preparing to perform at this competition.

The band played 3 songs: Secrets of McDougal's Cave, In This Quiet Place, and Swashbucklers March.  After they performed, the band was taken into a room where a professional conductor talked to band members about what they did well and what they could improve.

This was a valuable experience for the band and helped every member improve their musical ability. The DFJHS Concert Band has been attending this festival for many years, and will continue to do so.  Thank you to everyone who made this year's festival trip a success.
