The Diamond Fork Junior High National Junior Honor's society visited the Utah State Capitol Building last week.  While in Salt Lake they also visited the De Vinci exhibit at the Leonardo De Vinci Museum, and followed that with a hike to Ensign Peak.  While at the Capitol Building they took a tour of each of the rooms including the Gold Room, The Supreme Court room, Legislative room and received an explanation of some of the architecture and paintings in the building.  While at the Leonardo museum they saw amazing models and replicas of some of De Vinci’s greatest creations.

Mrs. Gardner, the advisor for the honors society commented, “The purpose of The National Junior Honor Society is for students who do well academically to participate in various service projects.”  The society is looking forward to many fun and exciting projects this year! Activities planned for this year include: raising money for cancer research, a Christmas social for students with disabilities, Christmas care packages for local people and more.  We look forward to these students helping serve in our community and having a great year!
