Geography Bee

Submitted by scott.buck on

During the month of December, all the students at Diamond Fork Junior High got the opportunity to show their knowledge of geography by answering questions written by the National Geographic Society.  The top scoring seventh and eight grade students participated in the school geography bee on January 4.  The winner of the geography bee was Jaci Hulse, an eight grader with Johnathan Tanner, the runner-up.  Jaci was awarded a certificate and medal from National Geographic. She will find out in the next few weeks if she qualifies to participate in the state geography bee this spring at Thanksgiving Point.  Ninth grade students are not eligible to participate in the geography bee but those students scoring highest on the test were awarded cash prizes.   The winning ninth graders were Anton Kadomtsev, Cristian Vargas, and Jacob Brian Olsen.

We congratulate these geography “experts” and wish Jaci good luck!
