On Friday, March 27th, 1,600 Latinos In Action (LIA) students attended the 2015 LIA Conference at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. We had a lot of fun and so did the other schools in attendance. Being in a room filled with many other different kinds of Latino cultures made us feel like we were at home, like family. The hosts made us feel so comfortable. The dances and the older students inspired us.

We listened as guest speaker Richard Montanez, the inventor of Flaming Hot Cheetos and Flaming Hot Fritos, who spoke to all 1,600 students! He was very motivating for all of us!

Every school would rotate into different workshops where we had the opportunity to see some fantastic performances from young Latino sutdents who performed everything from singing to mariachi. Each school was incredibly kind and the high school groups gained our respect and admiration.

One thing that stuck with us, "when God created the latino, he was showing off!" We can be and do anything on which we set our mind.
