On May 6th Diamond Fork Junior High School's National Junior Honors Society held its induction meeting for the new inductees and their parents at 5 pm in the library. Honors Society is a great experience and all the new inductees are excited to take part in this organization over their 9th grade year.

In order to try out for the National Junior Honors Society, students filled out a sheet stating the accomplishments, service, and leadership positions they participated in during their seventh and eighth grade years. They then explained why they would like to be in the National Junior Honors Society and signed their forms, and turned it all in along with a parent signature as well.

Inductees also signed up to bring supplies for a service project. They made hygiene kits for the people in Peru, which included a hand towel, a mini shampoo and sanitizer, toothbrush, toothpaste, and a comb. They brought all their supplies and assembled these kits during the meeting.

Honors Society is a wonderful program and we are all proud of the newest members of our 2014-2015 DFJHS National Junior Honors Society!
