Nebo Afterschool Program

The Nebo Afterschool Program is a series of 4-H clubs that meet after school every day at Diamond Fork Junior High. There are currently 8 after school clubs including Journalism, Chess, Duct Tape Art, Service Learning, School PR Club, Student Council Club, and the Keep Up Catch Up Club.

The Journalism club gives students an opportunity to film various segments for the weekly Diamond Fork News broadcasts. The journalism club meets every Tuesday from 2:45-4:00 in room 21.

The Chess club helps students learn different chess strategies and critical thinking skills.  They are also involved in tournaments. They meet every Tuesday 2:45-4:15 in the library.

The Duct Tape art club helps students have the opportunity to make different duct tape works of art.  This club meets every Wednesday 2:00-3:15 in the cafeteria.

The Serving Learning club gives students the opportunity to volunteer in their community at Tabitha's Way and at local rest homes. They also grow their understanding of diverse cultures and communities, and learn more about social issues and their root causes.  They also learn how to improve their ability to handle uncertainty and be open to change; and become more flexible. The Serving Learning club meets every Thursday 2:45-4:00 at Room 21.

Each of these clubs will benefit the students who attend.  So Diamondbacks, get going and get involved in Nebo After School!
