Stand4Kind and Foreign Figures Hold VIRTUAL Concert/Assembly

Submitted by bart.thompson on

Diamond Fork Jr High and Stand For Kind have developed quite a friendship over the last few years. We have had many guests come to our school to celebrate Kindness and share messages of hope, acceptance and love.
Despite COVID this year, we wanted our students to have the chance to hear this important message, and hear some amazing music from DFJHS's favorite band--FOREIGN FIGURES!!
Thanks for spending some time with us performing, sharing your message, and answering a LOT of questions--even what color toothbrush you have...

Submitted by bart.thompson on

The 7th grade science team at DFJHS are using their lab skills to test nerve sensitivity. Partners took turns with calipers to map the nervous system. All 7th graders are learning about body systems. "This unit is particularly fun for the kids because of all the activities we do. For example, tomorrow we will reassembly an actual skeleton using the inside remains of owl pellets," stated Mr. Whiting. "This year has been a blast and I look forward to the rest of the body systems to see what discoveries the students make!"
