All in for Each Learner
Hispanic and Caribbean Culture was awesome! We ended this week with a Pinata Party, which everyone loved.
Students from our cultures group ran a lunchtime dance party today! Of course, Mrs. Burr jumped in as well!
We love our DFMS Snake pit! During Team Time, students discuss suggestions for ways to improve our school. Each team has a representative come to the Snake Pit to present their team's suggestions. Our student Leadership class runs the pit by meeting with the representatives in small groups. Mrs. Burr comes in and listens to the student's ideas. From this week's Snake Pit we already have water cups out for lunch, a leaky toilet fixed, intramurals started up again, more 3 D pens on order, and ideas for more DFMS swag!
Netsmartz came into today to present to students on digital and internet safety.
Students in our science elective class are identifying and classifying insects in their bug collections!
We celebrated Hispanic and Caribbean Culture Week today by playing musical chairs. It got very entertaining and very competitive which was fun to watch.
Students loved the science field trip today where they went bug hunting at Lincoln Beach.
