The National Junior Honor Society is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding middle level students. More than just an honor roll, NJHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship and character. These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since its beginning in 1929.

Diamond Fork National Jr. Honor Society students are staying busy serving various groups in our area.  We recently completed a service project to benefit Native Americans living on the Navajo Reservation in the Four Corners region.  Our members made 11 blankets and 16 scarves using fabric donated by a parent.  In addition, some of our members used looms to knit 47 winter hats.  These students came in many days during E-time as well as working at home to complete the hats by the deadline.

We are now in the process of collecting packages of chewing gum for donation to the Food and Care Coalition in Provo.  The gum will be part of a Christmas gift bag given to each patron of the shelter.  We have committed to donating 250 packs of gum.  We currently have about half of that donation and would appreciate any donations from our student body.  The gum will be delivered when we go spend an afternoon helping serve lunch to the patrons and entertaining them with a Christmas program.
