Let the Season Begin!

Submitted by mike.sorensen on

Basketball season has officially begun here at Diamond Fork. Both boys and girls played hard and battled in their games against Orem Jr. Although we didn't come out victorious in either game, we learned a lot and look forward to games again Thursday the 30th here against Spanish Fork Jr at 3:30.

For the 11th consecutive year we head into Thanksgiving break led by our amazingly talented students. The STARS assembly is a fantastic tradition put on by Mrs. Poulsen, Mrs. Lewis, Mrs. Tippetts, and their amazing stage crew. This year was awesome as always, with a variety of performances. Thanks to all involved, please visit our Facebook page for a video of today's show!

  • Because of the amazing support of our students, community, and faculty the food drive was a huge success. Our school raised over 46,000 food items and over $4,000 for our local food bank. Part of the food drive cash donations are being used this week to provide 352 turkeys, 550 turkey tins, and 200 pound of yams to needy families this Thanksgiving. We easily surpassed our school goal of raising 25,000 food items.

Mrs. Olson Diamond Fork PEAK Winner (Positive Energy and Kind)

Words cannot even begin to describe the best librarian in the world- but if they could it would be Ellen-Anita Olson at Diamond Fork. Reading nights and weekends, it is not an exaggeration to bet that Ellen-Anita has read ever young adult book in our library. She can personally recommend a book based on a student’s personality and reading preferences. Pre-ordering and deal seeking, she gets the next book in the series for our avid readers even before the bookstores. English teachers bring their students in for her engaging book talks and critiques of the latest new reads.
