It's that time of year again, time to get creative with the ARTS! The 2019 PTA Reflections Theme is LOOK WITHIN.

Why?

13.1--Just a Number for Sasha Brierley

Submitted by bart.thompson on

Big Diamondback Shout Out to our very own Sasha Brierley who completed the Big Cottonwood Half Marathon a week ago!  That's 13.1 miles of pavement pounding, bone breaking, sweat soaking, blister bursting fun!  She represented our school proudly, finishing 11th in her age group in a time of 2 hours and 2 minutes!

Great Job Sasha! DFJHS is proud to call you one of us!

Mountain Man and Medical Professional Monday!

Submitted by bart.thompson on

Well, if you have to face a Monday at school, you might as well do something amazing!  That's what our Utah Studies and CCA Teachers think, anyway!

In our Utah Studies classes today, our students were treated to a face-to-face interaction with a Mountain Man from an earlier time! He taught them about their customs, traditions, occupations, and survival. He talked about their interactions with Native Americans, wildlife, weather and disease.  It was a great day!
