The 2019-20 DFJHS Shakespeare Competition Team has worked diligently to prepare for this week! It is time for the annual Shakespearean Competition in Cedar City this weekend.
This year, the DFJHS team has chosen a scene from Act V of Richard III. It is dramatic, intense, haunting and moving. Best of luck to you, Diamondbacks!

It's that time of year again, time to get creative with the ARTS! The 2019 PTA Reflections Theme is LOOK WITHIN.
Why?
National PTA’s Reflections program has helped students explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful in school and in life.
The DFJHS Leadership class and members of the NJHS had the great opportunity to participate in a ROPES Course in the Provo River bottoms on Wednesday afternoon. They learned about teamwork, cooperation, grit, determination and overcoming their fears. Way to go, Diamondbacks!

The AP Geography classes got to learn about Population Pyramids with the help of some sweet treats! Using gummy worms and licorice, students were asked to create Population growth trends. Well done, Diamondbacks!

There is a great need for bus drivers in Nebo school district. They are seeking help from our school communities and councils. If any of you are interested, or KNOW anyone that may be interested, check out the flier.
The District will provide the CDL and endorsement training and testing.
Big Diamondback Shout Out to our very own Sasha Brierley who completed the Big Cottonwood Half Marathon a week ago! That's 13.1 miles of pavement pounding, bone breaking, sweat soaking, blister bursting fun! She represented our school proudly, finishing 11th in her age group in a time of 2 hours and 2 minutes!
Great Job Sasha! DFJHS is proud to call you one of us!

Well, if you have to face a Monday at school, you might as well do something amazing! That's what our Utah Studies and CCA Teachers think, anyway!
In our Utah Studies classes today, our students were treated to a face-to-face interaction with a Mountain Man from an earlier time! He taught them about their customs, traditions, occupations, and survival. He talked about their interactions with Native Americans, wildlife, weather and disease. It was a great day!
