DFMS Student News - May 13, 2024
Congratulations Mrs. Burr with the "All In Award" for the month of May. Mrs. Burr is a perfect example of some one who gives her all for every student and staff member at DFMS.
As a Diamond Fork tradition, students submit artwork proposals for a celing tile at the end of the year. The art teachers chose the winners who then transfer their ideas to a celing tile. The hallways of Diamond Fork are uniquely decorated with ceiling tiles from throughout the school's history. Thease now seasoned performers charmed the audience with their skills tonight, performing such songs as Oompa Loopa, Pirates of the Caribbean, and more!
Tonight is what we like to call the miracle concert, where students who could not play a note in September are now performing like pros! Our beginning band delighted the crowd with Eye of the Tiger, The Italian Carousel, Primus, and Concerto for Two Hands with Mrs. Burr and her pom poms as a guest percussionist!
Our drama classes have worked hard to prepare for productions involving the entire class as the performers! Today was the day! The audience of parents and classes invited in had so much fun watching these lively humorous productions of Really Bad Advice and The Education of Janet O'Malley.
We had over 70 students compete at our Diamond Fork Poetry Slam. Four of our students advanced to the Nebo School District Competition. As the four yougest students in the competition tonight, our students rocked the crowd! Congratulations to Maci Abbott, Andria Schwartz, Olivia Ryskamp, and Lola Walker. Andria Schwartz took honorable mention.
