Fitness Day 2013

Diamond Fork Junior High is holding fitness day on May 22, 2013. Students, teachers and parents will be participating in a 5k run - which is over 3 miles! The race begins at 9:05 at the east side parking lot of the school. The course will lead past Larson Elementary and down Canyon Road where police will be blocking off the roads. Then they will run all the way past Park Elementary and back to Diamond Fork.

March Students of the Month

Every month at Diamond Fork Junior High two students from the 7th, 8th, and 9th grades are selected as students of the month.  These students are nominated and then voted on by the entire faculty.  The students of the month for March are:

7th Grade: Cossette Bushman and Candido Escobedo

8th Grade: Kristi Reategui and Cristian Vargas

9th Grade: Amber Messick and Brandon Van Tassel

BYU Concert Band Festival

On Saturday, March 16th the Diamond Fork Junior High Concert band, under the direction of Dan Bigler, attended the annual BYU Concert Band Festival.  At this festival, the band played three songs in front of a panel of judges.  The band practices all year preparing to perform at this competition.

Five On Friday

Diamond Fork Junior High recognizes excellent student attendance with "Diamondback Five On Friday."  This new program encourages students to come to class on-time everyday, and rewards those who do by entering them into a weekly drawing for $5 if their attendance is perfect when their name is drawn.

March's Five On Friday winners are Hayden Pierce, Mariah Burnham, Jonathan Candia, Julianna Keele, Jaden Peer, Skyler Peterson, Hannah Seamons, Avery Curtis, Braxton Ferguson, and Ezrie Pierce.  Congratulations to March's Five On Friday winners!

National Junior Honor Society

At Diamond Fork Junior High School the National Junior Honor Society is making friendship bracelets to sell and raise money for a Veteran’s nursing home being built in Payson to provide services to Veterans and their spouses.
